At 游行的夜晚, first-year 学生 are showered in confetti and love by their peers through a night of delightful activities and surprises.

雅典娜, the patron goddess of the College, plays a starring role in one of many Traditions (she's pictured with Philadelphia Eagles gear the year they won the Super Bowl). We make offerings to 雅典娜 for good luck, 情感上的帮助, remembrance of good times, and support through challenges.

An academic welcome into the community.
元宵节之夜, first-year 学生 receive a unique gift from the Bryn Mawr community - their very own lantern. Representing the light of knowledge, the keepsake is cherished among 学生 and 女毕业生/我.
类的骄傲
Every Mawrter receives a lantern of their class color: dark blue, 绿色, 浅蓝色的, 或红色, which represent the natural elements of water, 空气, 火, 和地球. McBride (non-traditional) 学生 receive a purple lantern, which represents the human spirit, and our graduate 学生 receive a golden lantern during Lux Doctorum.
Welcome the First-Years Week
A reinvigorating class-bonding experience.
During Welcome the First-Years (WTF) Week, upperclass and first-year 学生 come together in celebration. The cold Pennsylvania winter is cast aside for student performances, 集体活动, and a deepening of relationships between peers.

Medieval festivities to celebrate the end of classes.
五一节, 学生, 女毕业生/我, 教师, and staff gather across campus to celebrate the end of the academic year and to congratulate the seniors before they leave campus. The day is filled with dancing, 音乐会, 食物, and festivities that evoke both the past and the future.
